Good In A Former Life MP3: 675KB

One of those list songs. The hook was so short and simple, the rest flowed naturally. This was my chance to say "hi" to a lot of friends with a lot of inside jokes. The best is probably Margaret Thatcher. I was asked to take one of those psycho-quizzes once where you are placed in a hypothetical setting (a castle) and you're supposed to describe who and what you see. I saw Margaret Thatcher. The psycho-interpretation: your ideal woman. That's right... me and the Iron Maiden. Who knew?!?

Lyrics:

I could have been a stock car racer back in Indiana
Stolen a wooden flute from Kokopelli
I could have been a prince at war with one Nicollo Machiavelli

By the way she treats me you'd think I was
Good in a former life

I could have been a Swedish chef or a better dancer
I could have lived across the street from Joan of Arc
I could have spoken to her through some wayward gypsy necromancer

By the way she treats me you'd think I was
Good in a former life

I could have been a fuzzy creature in a Henson movie
I could have run a bed-and-breakfast in a run-down ranch
I could have sold my broken compass to Columbus back in 1489

By the way she treats me you'd think I was
Good in a former life

In a former life I must have done the laundry and the dishes
In a former life I must have granted all her
heart-shaped-Barbie-Cinderella-Disney wishes

I could have had a teenage crush on Margaret Thatcher
Known Jimmy Page, befriended Yoko Ono
I could have been the boy she always liked but never said a word to

By the way she treats me you'd think I was
Good in a former life
